Class 421 3-CIG 1497 Freshwater passes Milking Pound Bottom, near Battramsley with the 17:44 Lymington Pier to Brockenhurst service on 22 May 2010. Although the southern part of the line is largely in woods, the northern end crosses a large area of typical New Forest heathland, and there are various gaps in the lineside vegetation allowing a choice of photographic spots.
