1551 & 1813 Willesborough 19 July 2002

The golden light of the setting sun does little to disguise the filthy condition of Class 411 4-CEPs 1551 & 1813, as they pass Willesborough on 19 July 2002 with the 19:15 Ramsgate to Charing Cross (via Dover) Connex South Eastern service. At 20:20 on a July evening sunset is not far away, which explains the shadow of myself and the footbridge on which I was standing in the foreground. To the left of the train, the recently laid tracks of the Channel Tunnel high speed line (HS1) can be seen.
