Despite looking nearly the same going in both directions (apart from lacking a driver of course!), I don't normally take going away pictures of units. However, on this occasion a Class 165/0 passing Radley on a northbound crew training run was definitely worth a picture. 165002 speeds northwards on 11 December 1991, and Class 117 units were still in command of local trains to and from Oxford. Apart from the loan of the three car versions the following year, Class 165/0s would never be common in the Thames Valley. |
