Fresh out of the box! An immaculate 165007 stands at Bicester North station on 2 December 1991 with the first Turbo operated passenger service on the Chiltern Line - the 11:43 Marylebone to Banbury. It returned straight away with the 13:32 from Banbury. The introduction of these units had been delayed by several months. Note the large gap between platforms, caused by the removal of central through lines. |
