From Sunday 22 May 2011, Chiltern Railways took over the running of the Oxford to Bicester Town service, which had previously been run by First Great Western. 165028 approaches the level crossing at Oddington with the very first train of the new service (the 2L06 09:36 Oxford to Bicester Town). Not much of a change in rolling stock, just Class 165/0s instead of 165/1s and in a different livery of course! Note the transition from steam age bullhead track to relatively modern flat bottom track in the immediate foreground. |
