A busy moment at Hinksey Yard, near Oxford, on 2 November 2016. 165110 heads for London with the 2P50 12:07 Oxford to Paddington GWR service, passing an unusual visitor to this location - Chiltern Railways 168323, which has just arrived in the yard with the 5Z61 11:17 Oxford Up Carriage Sidings to Oxford Up Carriage Sidings ECS. This was a crew training run running via Hinksey (twice) and Oxford North Junction. Next to it is 70806 waiting to proceed with the single wagon 6M50 07:55 Westbury to Bescot engineers train. To complete the hectic scene, the 1E40 11:45 Reading to Newcastle CrossCountry Voyager can be seen disappearing into the distance. Due to all this action happening some distance from where I was, a very long lens has had to be used.
