The mass withdrawal of GWR's Class 800 fleet due to underframe cracks led to an emergency timetable being put into use on the Cotswold Line on Sunday 9 May 2021, using Class 165 & 166 units. 165112 is pictured arriving at Charlbury station with the 1W02 12:18 Reading to Worcester Shrub Hill service. Note the slightly ironic 'HST Stop' sign on the left. If GWR hadn't stopped using HSTs in favour of the clearly poorly built Class 800 DMUs, they wouldn't be in this mess now!
