165116 arrives at Charlbury station on 10 November 2013 with the 1P45 11:15 Great Malvern to Paddington First Great Western service. Note the new footbridge, with massive disabled friendly approach ramps, which now partly obscures the view of the Great Western Railway brick roadbridge. On the plus side, until the reinstatement of the second platform, it would theoretically not be possible to take a picture from this angle. As the single track section starts just to the south of here, there is the very possibility of this view being blocked by a down train, especially if an up train is held in the station. It should have been no problem here, as up and down train were supposed to be 16 minutes apart. Unfortunately the 1W02 10:42 Paddington to Hereford was running late, but luckily had just disappeared from sight when 165116 came into view.
