165119 passes Grove on 7 November 2019 with the 3Z60 10:37 Bristol Temple Meads to Reading West Junction GWR ECS. Two car Class 165s haven't been used on revenue earning trains on this route since the ill fated Oxford to Bristol direct trains stopped running in 2003. However, since the electfrication of the Paddington to Oxford local services, and consequent widening of the Class 165's sphere of operations, empty stock workings now appear sporadically on the line. The impressive cloud effect in this picture was a mixed blessing, as while it certainly adds to the picture, the rapidly increasing cloud (there was virtually none when I left home), soon led to some challenging photographic conditions.
