165124 passes underneath the M40 motorway at Wendlebury whilst working the 2L09 10:30 Bicester Town to Oxford First Great Western service on 4 May 2011, just a few weeks away from the takeover of the route by Chiltern Railways. Although Chiltern eventually hope to upgrade the line with reinstated double track and a chord to link it to the Marylebone Line at Bicester, there will however be one slight downside. Note the yellow band above the windows at the front of 165124. This of course indicates the first class section, a facility not available on Chiltern Railway's Class 165/0 units.
