12 December 2017 was not a good day for trains on the Cotswold Line, with several trains cancelled, for various reasons, presumably to do with the weather. This resulted in a couple of short notice empty stock workings. 165129 & 165133 approach Walton Well Road, Oxford, with the 5Z71 10:14 Worcester Shrub Hill to Reading Traincare Depot GWR ECS. The causes of the various cancellations according to Realtime Trains were: traction equipment failure, points failure, and high winds. This latter excuse was clearly a lie, as there wasn't a breath of wind all day!
