There is a fine crop of beans in the field next to the line at Bruern, as 165132 passes by on 23 June 2010 with the 06:51 Worcester Foregate Street to Oxford First Great Western service. This is the only up train of the day to call at all the smaller stations (Shipton, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Finstock & Combe) and consequently is usually the only train on the Cotswold Line to utilise a two car Class 165. Shipton alone out of these stations has the luxury of one additional service, but platform length at the other stations precludes the use of a three car set. |
