The setting sun gives a golden glow to 165136 as it passes through the site of Challow station on 26 January 2000 with the 15:31 Oxford to Bristol Temple Meads First Great Western service. This was a short lived attempt to give a direction connection between the two cities. Ironically, it might have succeeded if stations like Challow had still been open. All the infrequent service did was just save the prospective passenger from changing trains at Didcot. |
