One of the very last Class 165s to retain First Great Western's blue livery, 165136 passes Norton on 7 July 2018 with the 1Z50 16:00 Moreton-in-Marsh to Great Malvern GWR service. All of the three car 165s had been repainted into GWR's sombre green livery by early 2018, and the two cars units were quickly following them into drabness, with just a handful of blue ones left by early summer. Cotswold Line trains were only working as far south as Moreton-in-Marsh on this occasion, due to extensive engineering works taking place at Oxford. Just visible in the background is 67024, which was held at signals with the Belmond Pullman 1Z96 16:35 Worcester Shrub Hill to Victoria VSOE charter, which was running a little early. |
