A wave from the driver of 166202, as it approaches Didcot North Junction on 30 March 2019 with the 1P35 10:00 Oxford to Paddington GWR service. Luckily six of the Class 166 fleet avoided being repainted into GWR's almost universally hated dark green livery, by virtue of having been turned out relatively recently in First Great Western's plain blue with dark grey roof colour scheme. However, most of the class have now moved away from the Thames Valley, leaving the drab green Class 165s to operate the local trains, so this was definitely worth photographing. |
