A wood pigeon takes evasive action at Radley on 11 June 2016, as 166203 & 165134 speed through the station with the 1D59 17:50 Paddington to Oxford GWR service. Note the 'Please stand clear' message being displayed on platform 2's information screen. This was to warn of the approach of the 2P80 18:37 Oxford to Paddington DMU, which was rapidly approaching from behind me. Note also the pile of rusty electrification mast piles behind the unit, which will soon mean the end of this particular viewpoint. In the background is the disused Didcot Power Station, with the remaining section of the collapsed turbine house. Unbelievably nearly four months after the building collapsed, three bodies have still to be recovered from the wreckage.
