The first Turbo unit to be painted in the new First Great Western dark green livery, 166204 climbs Campden Bank near Mickleton on 7 August 2015 with the 5Z12 12:00 Long Marston to Reading Traincare Depot ECS move, which on this occasion was terminated at Didcot Parkway. The unit had received air conditioning modifications at Long Marston. This picture probably explains why Network Rail have to run Rail Head Treatment Trains, with unbelievable uncontrolled lineside tree growth right next to the line with a 1 in 100 gradient! A steam age railwayman would be shocked by this total lack of lineside maintenance. |
