166204 arrives at a rather damp Stratford-upon-Avon station on 17 May 1993 with the inaugural 1F12 09:18 Paddington to Stratford-upon-Avon Network SouthEast service. This was the first train of the newly introduced direct London service via Oxford. The classic GWR covered footbridge in the background has since been supplemented by a disabled friendly new bridge. Also, the semaphore signals visible in the background have been replaced by colour lights.
