Golden early morning light at Moredon on 25 June 2018. The green livery of 166205 actually looks green in this light, rather than the almost black that it can appear during the middle of the day! This is the first passenger train of the day over the line, the 2M02 05:19 Gloucester to Southampton Central GWR service. Normally it would be the first train of any kind, but the Gloucester to Swindon line was being used for diversions, while engineering work was taking place in Patchway and Severn Tunnels, and a couple of freights had already passed by (in the dark).
