Shipton station on the Cotswold Line is served by just a handful of trains, and this isn't one of them. 166208 speeds through the diminutive station on 15 November 2013 with the 1P37 09:50 Moreton-in-Marsh to Paddington First Great Western service. Formerly there was a footpath crossing linking the two platforms at this end of the station, but obviously being on a tight curve with restricted visibility, this is now considered too dangerous. Therefore prospective passengers have to access the correct platform from the main road a short distance away. On the down side the access forms part of FWP Matthews flour mill yard, which explains the pile of pallets on the left. |
