The blue sky here is deceptive, as there was still a lot of fog about, and the sun had only just appeared a few minutes before the train came into view. This photo is taken from the extreme end of Ascott-under-Wychwood station's down platform, and requires a wide angle lens. This means that that the shutter has to fired at exactly the right time, and a high shutter speed is essential. 1/2000sec was used here.
