Contrasting forms of transport at Heyford pictured on a gloriously sunny 13 December 2014. 166214 (running as a two car unit) arrives at the station with the 2L43 11:03 Banbury to Oxford First Great Western service, while alongside a large part of Oxford Narrowboat's fleet is moored at Heyford Wharf on the Oxford Canal. I had been meaning to take this picture for some time, but it requires a still day (for a good reflection), and a stopping train, as the gap between one lamppost and the shadow of the previous one is very tight! |
