166215 accelerates away from Cholsey on 22 July 1994, having just called at the station with the 1F68 17:50 Paddington to Banbury Network SouthEast service. 166215 was less than a year old at this time, and most photographers (myself included) were regretting their replacement of the Class 50s and 47s on this route. However, that is nothing compared with what would happen at this location two decades later, when the controversial Great Western Mainline electrification would make photographing anything at all at this location impossible!
