166215 Heyford 13 March 1995

A slightly different view of the railway near Heyford. Narrowboats are reflected in the still waters of the Oxford Canal, as 166215 accelerates away from Heyford station with the 1F25 07:40 Banbury to Paddington Network SouthEast service on 13 March 1995. Obviously this was regarded as a slightly more unusual railway photograph at the time, as it was featured as a double page centre spread in Rail magazine. Unfortunately, in the intervening years the bushes have grown considerably, and it would now be very difficult to replicate this picture.
