166215 approaches Wolvercote Junction on 30 May 1996 with the 16:50 Paddington to Stratford-upon-Avon Network SouthEast service. This was my usual choice of photographic location in the Oxford area for a quick session after work. However, on this occasion as soon as this train had passed it clouded up, so I reluctantly joined the queue of traffic escaping Oxford in the rush hour, in order to go home. However, this picture is worth including for the now historic Woolworths lorry crossing the Oxford bypass bridge in the background. Who would have thought in 1996 that a little over a decade later that Woolworths would go into administration! |
