New traction for the Cotswold Line - mid 1990s style! 166217 was just nine months old when I photographed it passing Chilson on 16 June 1994 with the 2F01 09:40 Worcester Shrub Hill to Reading service. The units would be used on the route for over two decades, along with their non air-conditioned cousins, the Class 165s.
