Because of engineering works on the Chiltern Line, various Chiltern Railways trains were booked to run to Oxford to connect with First Great Western services to London. If Chiltern Railways plans come to fruition, this will soon no longer be an occasional sight at Oxford, as the company aims to run regular services to London via a new chord at Bicester.
