168328 & 168326 pass North Oxford Golf Course (behind the trees) with the 1T45 16:05 Marylebone to Oxford Chiltern Railways service on 27 May 2017. This excellent new vantage point has been created by the installation of a footbridge on the recently upgraded Bicester to Oxford line. I never visited the location when it was a sleepy single track branch line, as there was no footbridge, and the line was hemmed in by trees and tall bushes. Oxford Road Junction was formerly situated where the line disappears from view, and the trees on the left mark the course of the former LMS loop line to Yarnton Junction, on the GWR Oxford to Worcester Line. This line was closed in 1965.
