170420 passes Dalwhinnie in a lucky patch of sunshine on 29 August 2018 with the 1B22 10:45 Inverness to Edinburgh ScotRail service. This is one of four Scottish Class 170s that were repainted into plain blue, without any Saltire branding, as they are destined to be converted into Class 171s for use in the south of England. It may only be a temporary livery, but I think it is an excellent colour scheme, far better than a lot of other recent horrors! |
