CrossCountry Class 170s are ubiquitous in the Gloucester area, working the hourly Cardiff to Nottingham trains. However, those traverse the Chepstow line, so 170s south of Gloucester are much less common. 170637 is pictured passing Blanchworth (between Bristol and Gloucester) with the 5Z70 09:49 Bristol Barton Hill to Tyseley ECS on 18 September 2021. This was running 45 minutes early. Realtime Trains showed it passing Bristol Parkway at 09:58 and Cheltenham at 10:06. Bristol to Cheltenham in eight minutes is clearly impossible!
