The hawthorn is in full bloom at Up Hatherley on 30 April 2026, as 197116 passes by with the 2G58 11:10 Cardiff Central to Cheltenham Spa Transport for Wales service. The bush does add some foreground interest to the picture when it's in flower, but at other times it just restricts the viewpoint!
