20189 & 20142 Sir John Betjeman pass Shrewley on 24 July 2022 with the Vintage Trains 1T52 14:07 Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford-upon-Avon 'Shakespeare Express' railtour. This was running eight minutes early, and was travelling very slowly on the approach to an yellow signal at Hatton North Junction. It was fortunate that it was running early, as the sun had disappeared at the booked time! The 20s were being used because of Network Rail's steam ban, caused by the recent heat wave.
