20189 & 20227 Sherlock Holmes approach Stratford Parkway on 1 August 2021 with the Vintage Trains 1T52 14:07 Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford-upon-Avon 'Shakespeare Express' railtour. The Class 20s were substituting for GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 7029 Clun Castle, which was suffering from leaking superheater tubes. The replacement of a steam loco with a pair of diesels may not have been appreciated by some of the fare paying passengers, but it certainly created some interest among the local photographers.
