207202 Brighton Royal Pavilion arrives at Ham Street with the 08:24 Hastings to Ashford Network SouthEast service on 11 May 1996. Note the wider centre trailer which is from a withdrawn 4-CEP EMU. This unit later received Connex livery, before being withdrawn in 2004 to start a new life in preservation. The Marsh Link line as it is now known was synonymous with both the Class 205 & 207 DEMUs for many years. The station at Ham Street has staggered platforms with a boarded foot crossing between the two, and as can be seen here is on a very straight section of track. |
