Superb low evening lighting, with a fantastic cloud formation, makes even a Voyager worth photographing! 220031 is pictured passing Yarnton on 31 August 2019. This is not quite what it seems, as instead of being the 1E68 17:47 Southampton Central to York CrossCountry service, this is in fact the 5E68 17:47 Southampton Central to Birmingham New Street ECS, which then became the 1E68 20:30 Birmingham New Street to York. The fact that this ran between Southampton and Birmingham without any passengers was apparently due to a crewing issue. Probably little comfort for prospective passengers at Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Reading, Oxford, Banbury and Leamington Spa, who saw their train whiz straight through without stopping!
