Class 422 4-BIG 2252 and an unidentified Class 421 4-CIG leave Hove station on 20 April 1996 with the 12:11 Littlehampton to Victoria Connex South Central service. The third vehicle is a buffet car, this being the principle difference between a Class 422 and a Class 421. Only the first unit has come from Littlehampton, the rear 4-CIG having been attached at Worthing, after arriving with the 10:50 from Bournemouth.
