Running nearly half an hour late, and in the pouring rain, Class 442 5-WES 2411 passes through the shallow cutting on the approach to Moreton station on 1 March 1992 with the 10:30 Waterloo to Weymouth Network SouthEast service. I haven't been back to this location since, but Google Earth shows the now expected massively overgrown jungle, with the then treeless cutting side behind the train now covered with Silver Birch trees. |
