Class 442 4-WES 2417 passes Old Basing on 29 July 1991 with the 1W10 09:53 Weymouth to Waterloo Network SouthEast service. It was always pleasant waiting by the former Southern Railway mainline to the west during my many visits throughout 1991. The Class 50s were obviously the main draw, but I always liked photographing these stylish units as well.
