25243 slowly reverses the 6M52 14:44 King's Cross Goods Yard to Tring Cutting empty cement tanks into Pitstone Cement Works (Tring Cutting) on 8 September 1982. This is a very poor picture, not only because of the almost impossible position due to all the 25Kv infrastructure, but also because this is from a film that Kodak messed up in the processing. Kodachrome occasionally suffered from dodgy processing, and on this occasion this one roll of film was returned severely underdeveloped and with a very strong magenta cast, so it has taken a lot of work to get this result. As I have not seen another picture of a train entering the works, I have included it, despite the faults. Also, I have very few pictures of a loco with the headcode wound back to four zeros. |
