310072 passes Ledburn on 20 February 1988 with the 08:26 Euston to Milton Keynes service. I have got very few pictures of Class 310 EMUs, all of which have now been scrapped, so this one taken on a very dull and foggy morning will have to serve as a record. Despite the fact that engineering work was taking place, with people wandering all over the place, all four lines were still open. This is the spot where the Great Train Robbers tampered with the signals on 8 August 1963, in order to stop the Glasgow to London TPO. |
