31273 & 31187 pass Slade Heath on 10 March 1984 with the D.A.A. Tours 1Z15 07:35 Euston to Buxton 'Northwest Rambler No.3' railtour. The 31s had taken over from 85039 at Coventry, and would work the tour as far as Stoke-on-Trent. 25059 & 25218 then took the train up the Leek Brook branch. Back at Stoke-on-Trent, the 31s continued to Stockport, where 45104 took over. The return train was worked by 45104, 40082 (which failed), 40155 (rescue loco) & 86254.
