33001 passes Sherrington on 8 March 1986 with the 1V62 12:10 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central service. This was an excellent location, with uninterrupted views in both directions. I don't know why I didn't visit it more often when the 33s were in operation, but with Class 50s on the Cotswold Line at the time, the temptation was to always stay close to home!
