The vintage VSOE Pullman stock was used extensively during 1986 and 1987 for regular timetabled trips to various southern destinations. One of these was the 'Bournemouth Belle', which also allowed passengers to visit Broadlands (from Southampton) and Beaulieu (from Brockenhurst). Sometimes this train ran with a large headboard, but on 13 September 1986 no headboard was provided for 33016, which is pictured here passing Potbridge with the 1B11 10:35 Waterloo to Southampton.
