33021 & 33022 pass Finedon on 21 May 1989 with the Hertfordshire Railtours 1T10 08:50 St Pancras to Leicester 'InterCity Diesel Day' railtour. This was one of a series of special trains, all using freight motive power. The two locos had very different fates. 33021 was preserved (initially with a period of mainline running), but 33022 was damaged in an accident a few months after this picture was taken, and was withdrawn. It was cut up in 1991.
