33030 bursts out of Buckhorn Weston Tunnel on 6 July 1991 with the 1V10 11:14 Southampton to Plymouth Network SouthEast service. This train was booked for Class 50 haulage at the time and I remember being disappointed with this substitution. However, looking back on it, a Rail Blue 33, Inter City van and NSE stock certainly makes an interesting picture. Class 33s did of course appear on the route, along with ever increasing numbers of 47s towards the end of loco haulage. |
