It's 11:26 on a miserable Sunday morning at Winchfield on 9 February 1992. 33109 passes through the station non-stop with the 1L08 10:26 Salisbury to Waterloo Network SouthEast service. Unlike a lot of locos in departmental grey livery, 33109 did not receive an upper bodyside yellow stripe, converting into a 'Dutch' liveried loco. Indeed, its grey livery was smartened up when it took part in various railtours. To finish its career on the national network it was repainted back into BR blue. |
