My first picture of a Class 332 Heathrow Express EMU, and in rural Gloucestershire of all places, well away from the 25kV overhead! 332005 is the second unit in a convoy passing Churcham on 8 December 2020, being hauled away for scrap by 66758 The Pavior, running as the 6X33 07:40 Old Oak Common EMU Depot to Newport Docks (Sims Group). After a ridiculously short life of a little over twenty years, and presumably with at least that much life left in them, it seems a shame that these units are going for scrap. Note the air brake pipe fed through the unit's windows. |
