Class 423 4-VEP 3415 approaches Barnham station on 18 October 2003 with the 14:00 Brighton to Basingstoke Southern service. Since this picture was taken the road underbridge has been rebuilt. The new bridge is wide enough for three tracks, and the headshunt is now on the other side of the bridge. As it is here, if something ran through the points into the headshunt, there could have been the possibility of a plunge into the road below!
