As well as the normal trackside viewpoints, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is blessed with a number of panoramic views from the slopes of the nearby Cotswold Hills. One location that I have been meaning to visit for some time is the hill above the village of Laverton. Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 35006 Peninsular & Oriental S. N. Co. heads north past the village on 19 March 2022 with the 11:15 Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway service. Bredon Hill dominates the background.
