37040 & 37227 head westwards along the Great Western Mainline at Bourton on 1 November 1994 with a loaded vacuum braked ballast train. This was in the days before readily available gen, and although I have working timetables from the period, this clearly is a special working, and therefore unfortunately unidentified, although presumably it had started from Didcot, as both locos were stabled there earlier in the day.
